Need of fabrications after weaving

Even if the wire mesh appears to provide the best service, it is usually recommended to ask for further processing when a wire cloth is needed for a specific application. When the needs cannot be fulfilled during the real weaving procedure, the post weaving treatments are helpful such as:

Calendaring: It involves the wire mesh to be moved through double steel rollers to obtain a required reduction to the whole thickness. The mesh gets stability and lies flat, hence it is more easily treated as compare to regular mesh fabric.

Strip Cutting: Wire mesh can be cut into strips on the basis of lengths about 30 to 650 feet.

Edges: Wire Mesh in rolls has woven edges or cut edges, on basis of whether it is woven traditionally with a shuttle or on a shuttleless loom.

Demister Pad

A demister pad or Mist screen provides a great method to isolate the liquid drops from vapour. The drops invade on the wire filaments and are kept as long as they coalesce and drop down, meanwhile the free vapors travel through the Monel Wire Mesh aperture. Demisters are commonly used for gas-liquid separations and desalination units across the global industries.

Mesh Screens

The mesh screens or sifter mechanically separates the dry freely flowing particles by moving the material in context to the screen. Ever screen is circular or rectangular and is connected to a frame in an assembly named as a screen deck. It is used in the several applications for example chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food products, minerals, pigments in order to eradicate fines or grade material. To conduct these applications successfully, it is highly crucial to choose the perfect screen in order to achieve the maximum separation efficiency.

The factors that significantly describe about the screen made from woven wire mesh are- mesh count, wire diameter, opening size and open area %. While ordering the screen, you need to mention minimum two of these parameters. In US systems, the screens are specified in mesh count and wire diameter.
